This was such a surprise. Super good even though we don't usually eat vegan food! Definitely recommend if you want ramen.

Hands down my favorite vegan ramen spot in LA and that is saying a lot. I've had my fair share of vegan ramen in the last few years and coming to Ramen Hood just brought a huge smile to my face. Located inside Grand Central Market, Ramen Hood offers a fully plant-based menu and utilizes predominantly a sunflower seed broth which is very unique. Each bowl was around $15 and you can either eat at the counter (recommended) or ask for takeout and they'll put everything into a nice little package to rebuild wherever you go. During my first visit, I tried their Spicy Garlic Katsu Ramen. The broth was extremely flavorful and packed with umami, and includes OmniPork katsu, bok choy, king oyster mushrooms, and chili threads. The noodles themselves were excellent quality and I gulped down my bowl in what felt like an instant. I loved them so much that I ended up coming back here a second time during my most recent trip in LA. Getting downtown can be a challenge, but it's well worth it for this bowl of ramen itself. Whether you're vegan or not, this bowl is not to be passed up. I've had mediocre non-vegan ramen in my life and this blows all of those bowls out of the park.

I have to give a shoutout to Ramen Hood for delivering a vegan ramen who's broth I'll be thinking about for days. This is the first vegan ramen I have - and DAMN was that broth absolutely DELICIOUS. My only critique is - I wish it were spicier - but for the vegan skeptics out there - try this ramen and tell me a pork based broth is "objectively" better. Nicely done, Ramen Hood!!!

Came here on a really hot day in the summer and didn't think a ramen place would have something that could cool me down but I stand corrected. Got the cold ass noodles and asked to get the chili floss removed because it makes it quite spicy. Flavor was great and it was really filling. Will definitely come back when it's not so hot to try their soup ramen. A must-try for vegans!

My husband and I stumbled upon this vegan ramen joint at the Grand Central Market and were very glad we did! I ordered the spicy ramen and he ordered the spicy pork ramen. We were both very satisfied with the flavors, quantity and overall presentation. The spice was just enough spicy and creamy with plenty of noodles. The service was quick and friendly. Loved to see a full vegan ramen place!

Checked out this pretty cool spot in Grand Central Market for noodles and Asian food. It happens to be an entirely plant based menu. Ramen Hood specializes in big bowls of noodles with lots of toppings. Good options if liking things that are hot. The prices really aren't that bad for the big portions. Best place in the market for Asian food. It's close to the main entrance on Broadway, located next to one of the seating areas for the market. This has a long counter if you want to sit there. A lot to choose from. Ramen is the main thing. It's about $15 for a bowl. There's several options if you want it spicy. For sure it can be hot. I got the Spicy Ramen. This is made with a spicy sunflower seed broth, with baby bok choy, bean sprouts, chili threads, mushrooms, nori, and scallions. A couple more bucks to get a vegan egg. They actually really make these. Good place to get noodles and Asian food. It's not that bad as far as prices in the market. The whole thing is great for vegans and vegetarians.

How is it possible that this place has gotten better?! I got the Spicy Ramen and each bite was a religious experience. The broth is insaaaaaane, the noodles are amazing, and I love the mushrooms. Everything about the Spicy Ramen bowl is perfect. We sat at the high top bar of the restaurant and I love that they don't allow non-vegan outside food at the bar with respect to it being a fully vegan restaurant. As usual, Grand Central Market was bustling and charming - I love taking people here who aren't from LA. And the service is fast, I think we got four bowls in under five minutes, so this a great option for a fast, delicious and healthy dinner or lunch. We took some non-vegan family members and both agreed that this was the best ramen they've ever had in their life, and they were wowed by the vegan egg. Can't wait to go back!

Flew into town to visit sister. By the time we get through LAX I'm starving. Thankfully this place was in walking distance. Located inside Grand Central Market, where there are many good food locations but this one seemed to have the longest line and I was okay for the wait if there was good food at the end of the rainbow. Service was kind. The dude behind the desk walked me through some of the popular items. Spicy Ramen and Spicy garlic were our picks and thankfully there really wasn't much of a wait. Since it was closing time we took the items to go and enjoyed the delicious are on walk. Everything packaged securely and made it up a few blocks, through a few stairs and an elevator ride to her apartment. My mouth and stomach did a happy dance. The broth was perfect for the surprisingly cold evening. The Spicy ramen was spicy but nothing over the top. All the veggies were crisp and fresh and we were both beyond full from our meals. Definitely a great choice.

Vegan Ramen!! I finally got to try this spot! The ramen was delicious! I've never had oyster mushrooms! Def. A fan now! You can tell this pot is popular. A lot of people order to go.. it seems to be the choice as opposed to seating at the counter though I will say there is a lot of seating space. The staff was nice. When your ramen is ready they bring a tray with napkins, chili powder and chopsticks. It's a total vibe eating here. I feel the ramen could of had more of a kick and more noodles but I think anything extra is an additional cost to the base price of $15. If you're in the mood for vegan ramen.. I recommend!
